The oldest plants on earth(off-side 25)

Among the plants that surround us, are to old trees over a century. We do not always look the history of green beauty we watch.
Rechercheurs Scientists have calculated the ages of the old plants on earth and here are some pictures of bright -ecore plants – which exceeded 1000 years:

General Sherman is a giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) tree located in the Giant Forest of Sequoia National Park in Tulare County, in the U.S. state of California. By volume, it is the largest known living single stem tree on Earth.It is 1900 years old.

Methuselah is a 4,848-year-old. Great Basin bristlecone pine (Pinus longaeva) tree growing high in the White Mountains of Inyo County in eastern California.

Methuselah is located between 2,900 and 3,000 m (9,500 and 9,800 ft) above sea level in the “Methuselah Grove” in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forestwithin the Inyo National Forest. Its exact location has not been publicly disclosed.

Old Tjikko is a 9,558 -year-old Norway Spruce, located on Fulufjället Mountain of Dalarna province in Sweden. Old Tjikko originally gained fame as the “world’s oldest tree”, however, this is inaccurate, as only clonal trees, and not individual trees, are known to live this long. Though there are older clonal trees, Old Tjikko is recognized as the oldest living clonal Norway Spruce.

Posidonia Oceanica in the Mediterranean. Off the island Formentera. Genetic data have confirmed the presence of a herbarium extending over a length of 15 km. Estimated he would live from 80,000 to 200,000 years and would be the oldest living organism on Earth.

Posidonia Oceanica – is an endemic flowering plant of the Mediterranean-uses it sinks roots in the sediment, since it is indeed a plant.
