Beautiful islands of the world
GREECE: The most beautiful islands
Greece has a considerable number of islands whose estimate ranges from 1,200 to 6,000 depending on the criterion chosen (minimum area) in the count. The number of inhabited islands is between 166 and 227.
Here are pictures of the most beautiful of these islands:

Mykonos is the most famous island of the Cyclades, thanks to its white houses, its golden beaches and its always sunny climate …. and its trendy evenings. Many people say that even Ibiza does not come close to Mykonos, perhaps because of the many stars of cinemas, singers and designers who spend their holidays here. You will find, of course, a ton of luxury shops that you will not find anywhere else on the other Greek islands.

The islet of Kastri in Kos: Right opposite the beach of Kefalos, on the southern side of Kos island is the tiny Kastri islet. It is totally rocky and barren with little vegetation. Some remains of an old castle lie on top of this rocky islet that used to guard the bay from enemies and pirates. On the other side, there is a small chapel in blue and white colors dedicated to Saint Nicolas, the saint protector of sailormen.

Santorini is the main island of the Cyclades archipelago and is located in the Aegean Sea. It is a steep island with black and red beaches, located in front of an active volcano. The black sand beaches of Perissa and Kamari are the most popular in Santorini and the red beach next to Akrotiri attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The island of Santorini offers breathtaking views, as well as delicious culinary specialties and above all a world-famous nightlife. The many restaurants, hotels and bars are built on the cliff. Thus windmills and winding lanes are typical features of Santorini villages.

Naxos is an island in the Aegean Sea, also the largest in the Cyclades archipelago; She is the house of Zeus himself, the father of the Gods.
The island is separated from Paros simply by a narrow strait. Like the beaches, the island is also full of many old ruins and is also known for its sculptures.
f) Corfu island :

Corfu (592 km2) is the northernmost island of the Ionian Islands (2 307 km2), located in the Ionian Sea on the western side of Greece. This rosary, which follows the pattern of the continental relief, is pleated and chopped with gigantic faults born in the Tertiary. Hence the strange beauty of the rocks that plunge right into the sea and the presence of the chasms of Argostoli where the waves rush. Corfu is 58 km long and 27 km at the widest point.
Cape Drastis is in the northern part of Corfu surrounded by lush vegetation and many small islands and beaches.
