ART AND BEAUTY IMAGES FOR YOU
Salzburg, Austria (1)
In my last trip to Salzburg, I took pictures, especially for my dear friends and readers of my blog. I hope you like them.
Salzburg is an Austrian city of 148,521 inhabitants (2012). The old town is inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Located on the German border, the city is famous for having seen Mozart born. It takes its name from salt (Salz in German) and from castle (Burg), on whose commerce the city builds its fortune. The Salzburg Classical Music Festival is one of the most prestigious in the world.

1)The castle Mirabell
The castle Mirabell (Schloss Mirabell) is a palace located in the city of Salzburg, built from 1606 by the Prince-Bishop of Salzburg Wolf Dietrich of Raitenau, the palace Mirabell is baptized after the Italian mirabile, Which means “admirable” or “wonderful”. Rebuilt in baroque style from 1710 by architect Lukas von Hildebrandt, it continues to house the bishops of Salzburg until 1803. Its gardens are the work of Fischer von Erlach. They were reworked by Anton Danreiter around 1730.
