The Scandinavian Alps are a mountain range extending all along the west coast of the Scandinavian Peninsula (70% in the territory of Norway). They stretch from south-west to north-east over 1,700 km, with a broad average of 320 km. They cover most of Norway where the highest point of the chain Galdhøpiggen (2,469 m) is located.
