150 km from Rio de Janeiro, there is a wonderful little island (Area 193 km2): Ilha Grande (Big Island), a little piece of paradise located off the Costa Verde in the south east of Brazil.
The island is a set of hills and green mountains which culminates in 1030 m, surrounded by splendid beaches and inhabited by 5000 inhabitants.

On Ilha Grande, we will be totally disconnected from civilization, no car, no banks and no network. It’s the perfect place to take a break, far from the hustle and bustle of the world. Best things to do on this island is watching the beauty of nature, lazing on the beach, listening to the animals, going kayaking, filling the lungs with clean, climb the slopes up to 1030 m , dive among tropical fish, well-oxygenated air and tasting local products.

Beautiful collection of photos I have not heard of this Island, like so many places we are not aware of. Perfect no communication systems so peaceful without the negative vibrations transmitted from the outside world. The mind can be at peace, the soul can expand.
You can almost smell how fresh the air is!
