Art and beauty images, for you
USHUAIA (Argentina)
The closest city to Antarctica in the world

Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world. It is located in the south of the large island of Tierra del Fuego on the edge of the eponymous bay.
Ushuaia had a population of 57,000, and has a deep-water port just 1,000 km from Antarctica.

Ushuaia has a cold and very humid oceanic subpolar climate, comparable to that of Iceland. The seasons are not very marked with The temperatures do not change strongly according to the seasons, the averages remain close to 0 ° C between 1.3 ° C and 9.6 ° C.

Ushuaia is becoming a global tourist destination, thanks to its geographical location and above all to the exceptional beauty of nature in its region:
Tierra del Fuego National Park (to see Lapataia bay)
The Beagle Channel (to see cormorants, penguins and sea lions on the islands)
The crossing to Antarctica.
The glaciers of the Darwin Cordillera
The Lighthouse at the end of the world on the Isle of the States
The world famous downhill and cross-country ski resort

it’s a historical, astronomical and philosophical geographical journey …. I encourage you to do it again with an excellent camera
Ushuaia is such a beautiful place! I went a few years ago prior to going to Antarctica. I would love to go back, however I don’t know if I would be able to go there and not embark on a ship to Antarctica!
Wow. That would be fun place to visit. Bring a coat though!
😊
Really cool!
