First conqueror of Everest

New Zealand mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary was the first human to touch the roof of the world (May 23, 1953). The Everest summit, in the Himalayan range (8,848 meters). Edmund Hillary (1m90) born July 20, 1919, in Auckland, and died January 11, 2008, in Auckland.
