Sir Arthur Ernest Streeton (born April 8, 1867 in Mount duneed – died September 1, 1943 in Olinda-Victoria ) is an Australian painter. He is an important figure in the Heidelberg School, the Australian school of impressionist painting, which emerged at the end of the 19th century.
During the summer of 1886, Streeton met the Australian painter Tom Roberts in Mentone, near Melbourne, he asked him to join the group of painters from the Heidelberg school, who would exhibit their works in Melbourne in 1889.
His work “Golden Summer” (1889) was presented at the Royal Academy of Arts in London in 1891, then at the Salon of French artists in Paris in 1892, where he obtained a very honorable mention. Today the painting is on display at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra.

In 1915, Streeton enlisted in the Australian Army Medical Service. He was appointed official war artist in 1918 and made two visits to the front in France.
His works are mainly found in Australian museums such as the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the National Gallery of Australia.
