EVARISTE CARPENTIER
Évariste Carpentier, is a Belgian painter, born in 1845 in Kuurne and died in 1922 in Liège. He studied in the Academy of Fine Arts in Kortrijk, then in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp where he won the Award of Excellence in 1865. He had started his career with classical academic styles, before leaning towards impressionism. These subjects were mainly animated landscapes and historical scenes.
