The most famous modern Chinese painter: ZHANG DAQIAN

Great painting artists

The Chinese have been the driving force behind the art market since 2011, and they control over 40% of the global art market, thanks to the wealthy Chinese, who take advantage of liquidity.
It is another example of a turning point in the art world of the 21st century. Thus, classical and modern Chinese painters become the most popular; the clearest example is
Zhang Daqian with $ 550 million (Picasso $ 315 million).

Zhang Daqian is the most brilliant figure in twentieth-century Chinese painting. He was born on May 10, 1899 (in Neijiang, Sichuan, China) and died on April 2, 1983 (in Taipei, Taiwan). Until the 1940s this painter first made himself known by reproducing the great works of the greatest masters of classical Chinese painting. Subsequently, his style changed radically to integrate the riches of Buddhist art and then the contributions of modern painting.
30 years after his death, his works are experiencing a real revival, especially in mainland China.
