Island of Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, which lie to the west of the Mediterranean Sea, facing Valencia. The island, with an area of 3,640 km2, has 900,000 inhabitants. Its capital is Palma (434,000 inhab.) The island receives almost 10 million visitors every year.
