Albuquerque is the largest city in the state of New Mexico, United States. It is the seat and main town of Bernalillo County.

Albuquerque is located in the far north of the Chihuahua Desert. The city, crossed by Le Río Grande, is located between 1490 m above sea level at river level and 1950 m above sea level at the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. The airport is located at an altitude of 1,630 m.
In 1706, Old Town Albuquerque was founded, as a Spanish colonial post, according to the traditional plan of Spanish villages.
The University of New Mexico is located in Albuquerque. It is also the place that saw the birth of the first software published by Microsoft, founded for the occasion on April 4, 1975, in a motel.
