Glyn Morgan is a British artist, born in 1916 in Pontypridd (Wales, United Kingdom).
He began his artistic studies at Cardiff College of Art in 1942, then at Benton Edge in 1944 and Camberwell School of Art from 1947 to 1948.
Greek mythology, Welsh history and Classical music inspired his art. He said in 1994 during his exhibition and that of Cédric Morris at the Chappel galleries “My images were and still are a battlefield” (cited in the telegraph obituary).
The Chappel Galleries in Colchester exhibited Glyn’s work from 1995 to 2014. He has organized numerous other solo exhibitions.
Glyn Morgan is a leading painter of the Figurative-Abstract (Semi-abstract) Artistic Style
Glyn Morgan died at the end of June 2015.
