Traveling in 2022: Vancouver island

Vancouver Island is a large Canadian coastal island located in Pacific waters; Its area is 32,134 km2; Its population exceeds 800,000; Its capital is the city of Victoria.
The nature of the island is characterized by its temperate humid and oceanic climate, which favors huge forests, including Douglas fir and alpine tundra. This is why the economy of the island is based on forestry, then fishing and tourism.

  1. Great post! I’ve been to many of the places shown. I live in Vancouver, which bizarrely is on the mainland and not Vancouver Island. This fact confuses a lot of visitors. One day I hope to retire on Vancouver Island where the pace is slower.

  2. I’m always tempted to emigrate to Canada. It seems much more sane than here in the U.S. But recent revelations have shown that they too have their share of racism and right-wing hate filled maniacs.
