
Verona is a city in northern Italy, in the Po plain, near Lake Garda (258,000 inhabitants).
Verona is a very old city, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Founded in the 1st century BC. J. – C., it knew periods of expansion under the Roman Empire, under the Republic of Venice, during the medieval time and during the Italian Rebirth. After the end of the Second World War, Verona experienced the reconstruction of its artistic heritage, the development of agricultural trade, the creation of a huge industrial district, the inauguration of the University and the construction of modern infrastructure.
Verona is the city of Romeo and Juliet.
