Wilhelm Gause

Wilhelm Gause (27 March 1853 – 13 June 1916) was a German-Austrian painter. He studied at the Academy of Düsseldorf, and in 1888 exhibited his work in Vienna.
Works
Among the most famous creations of Gause, there are, too, “Court Ball at the Hofburg.” Created in 1900, it is suspended today in the walls of the Wien Museum Karlsplatz, in Vienna, Austria. He represents aristocrats gathering around Franz Joseph I of Austria at the Imperial Palace of Hofburg.
