Heart sculptures in San Francisco
“Hearts in San Francisco was a Bay Area-wide “heart installation” that debuted in the spring of 2004. While similar to Chicago’s “Cows on Parade,” the San Francisco version used a heart icon, appropriate for a city that is recognized for its acceptance and tolerance, as well as being perennially open-hearted.”
Mechanics Monument by Douglas Tilden – San Francisco

Love them all! San Francisco is one of my favorite cities! Art does not have to be famous to be good and appreciated.
I am happy, because a great artist, like you my friend, loved my post. My search is successful 🙂 🙂
Mssr. A.A. – These are wonderful, I hadn’t know San Francisco had such interesting public art. I was curious and looked up the 2nd one – – depicting prospectors, looking at a gold nugget. The Mechanics Monument is striking and dramatic, but also made me smile, because it reminds me of my uncoordinated family, struggling to assemble every new household appliance. So it could also be entitled “Trying to Put the New Orange Juicer Together” 🙂 Thank you for this post, I’d never seen any of these!
glad you like it 🙂
Beautiful! 💕
