  1. Oh my! I’ve heard about the cold conditions in Europe this winter, but these photos certainly tell a story. The one that caught my eye is the photo with what appears to the Coliseum in the background. Snow in Rome?! Wow.

  2. So sad that it is so cold and snowy. I feel for those who have no electricity. It breaks my heart. Snow is beautiful. Your photos represent beauty and pain. Thank you for sharing this.

  3. You have the same Mediterranean climate, which exists in Morocco, South Africa is our sister (despite its bad policy towards us)

  4. Merci pour toutes ces photos. Il y en a de très belles et certaines tristes à cause des accidents de la route. Merci. Mes amitiés.

  5. I am told it’s about 40 degrees in Las Vegas right now, and that it’s a wet cold. Surprising for a desert area.

  6. We have really, really cold temps right now in the Southeast US, but not as cold as on the map you included-but that cold in some other parts of the US. Great images, thanks for sharing!

  7. Back in September, I noticed that here in the Southern California desert that the rabbit brush plants had bloomed about 7-10 days earlier than usual. The prior couple years it had bloomed later than equinox and we had had milder winters. I had the idea that the early bloom meant a colder winter, and indeed it is true here. I did not realize it would be much the same for most of the northern hemisphere! Wow.
